Suttons Bay Village Trick or Treat: Your October 31 Family Plan
A one-hour Halloween outing, with the confirmed time and practical planning links

Families planning Halloween in Suttons Bay can put one confirmed hour on the calendar: Village Trick or Treat is scheduled for October 31, 2026, from 4:30–5:30 p.m.

The Suttons Bay Chamber’s event page gives that date and time, while its accompanying graphic says additional event details are coming.

The Leelanau Ticker’s fall guide describes participating village businesses handing out candy and other treats.

Keep the confirmed information together

Save the chamber page as your starting point, then return to it before Halloween for any new participation information.

I cannot confirm a complete business list, admission charge, registration requirement or weather contingency from the current organizer page.

Those gaps do not prevent you from planning a visit, but they are a reason to keep your route flexible and ask the chamber about any detail essential to your family.

Do not treat the advertised village event hour as a statement about residential trick-or-treating times elsewhere.

Use the village map to prepare

The chamber provides a village walking map and says its member listings also include maps to individual businesses.

Use those resources to identify a starting area and a meeting point before everyone arrives in costume.

A directory listing is useful for finding a business; it does not establish that the business is participating in trick-or-treating.

For a family arriving in more than one vehicle, share a single meeting point and a contact number rather than relying on everyone finding one another along the way.

As a planning suggestion, aim to have bags, outer layers and costume adjustments settled before the event window begins.

A one-hour outing leaves less room for organizing the group after you arrive.

Build the visit around your children

Decide beforehand whether your goal is a short costume stroll or spending the full hour visiting participating stops.

Let children help choose the pace, and leave room to finish early if someone wants a break.

Try costumes with the clothing and shoes you plan to use that day, and check whether larger accessories will be easy to carry.

Bring a bag suited to each child rather than counting on a shop to supply one.

If your household has specific needs around treats, plan how you will handle them instead of assuming every participating business offers the same choices.

Add a meal only after checking hours

The chamber’s dining directory includes links for businesses such as Bay Pizzeria, Martha’s Leelanau Table and VI Grill.

Use the listings to investigate a meal before or after the event, then confirm October 31 hours, menus and any reservation arrangements with the business itself.

These are planning resources, not a promise that a particular restaurant has a Halloween special or will be open at your preferred time.

For a group, agreeing on a food budget in advance can help you choose between a full meal and a shorter refreshment stop.

Keep that optional plan separate from the trick-or-treat hour so no one mistakes dinner arrangements for an organizer-provided activity.

Your final check before Halloween

Revisit the chamber event page, confirm the participating stops you particularly want to see, and share any updated information with your companions.

Choose a clear departure point, keep the plan manageable, and leave room to adapt the outing to your family’s interests.

For Cherry Buzz readers, the anchor is the verified October 31 window; the map and dining links help turn that hour into a practical Suttons Bay visit.

Jake MillerLooks like it. We'll probably pick a few shops ahead of time so we aren't rushing.

Yes, the chamber lists Village Trick or Treat for 4:30, 5:30 p.m. That hour applies to the village event, not necessarily to residential trick-or-treating elsewhere.
