What it is, and why we're recommending it

First, what is it?

Web Design Business Builder is a service for businesses that want someone to plan and make their website. Think of hiring a designer, rather than buying a ready-made page and doing it yourself. If you do not run a business, this is probably not for you.

The company says it helps local businesses explain what they do, show why customers might trust them, and make it easier for people to get in touch. It also offers help with what the pages say and how people might find the site when searching locally.

What we could see

We looked through its website, not through a completed project of our own. It lays out a sensible order: talk about your business and its goals, agree what the website needs, then build it. There is a set of questions you can answer to get a starting recommendation, plus examples labelled for trades such as cleaning, fencing and flooring.

We liked that the company talks about deciding what matters before choosing how the pages look. The website has plenty to read, though. If you only want a simple answer about what you would get, you may need to contact them.

Before you say yes

We could not find a set price in the material provided. The company offers a quote based on your answers, so ask what is included before agreeing to anything. In particular, ask who will write the words, what changes you can make later, and what help after launch would cost. The company says ongoing support depends on the project and is agreed beforehand.

This looks best suited to a business owner who wants help thinking through the whole website, not just making it look nicer. It is less suited to someone who wants a clearly priced, do-it-yourself option. The site makes strong promises about helping businesses grow, but we cannot judge those results from the information given.
