Experience Grand Traverse Distillery Tasting Rooms in Grand Traverse

Grand Traverse Distillery has recently expanded its presence in Leelanau County, introducing new tasting rooms in both Suttons Bay and Leland. This strategic move aims to enhance the distillery's connection with the local community and offer unique experiences to visitors.

In Suttons Bay, the distillery has established a tasting room at 321 North St. Joseph Street, previously occupied by HomeTown Pharmacy. This location focuses on providing tastings and bottle sales, allowing patrons to sample a variety of spirits. Plans are underway to introduce cocktails in the fall, creating a welcoming space for locals to unwind after work.

The Leland tasting room, situated at 110 North Lake Street, offers a more expansive experience. Described as "bigger and better and brighter," this location provides a full-fledged tasting environment, inviting visitors to explore the distillery's diverse offerings.

A highlight of these new locations is the single-barrel program, where each tasting room partners with a local nonprofit organization. In Leland, the collaboration is with the Fishtown Preservation Society, featuring an 8+ year Ole George Rye with notes of caramel, spice, and an earthy charred oak finish. Suttons Bay's partnership with the Inland Seas Education Association showcases a 4.5-year bourbon made from a unique blue and white corn grain mash. A portion of the proceeds from these exclusive single-barrel whiskeys supports the respective nonprofits, reinforcing the distillery's commitment to the community.

These expansions reflect Grand Traverse Distillery's dedication to offering distinctive tasting experiences while fostering strong community ties in Leelanau County.
